Endless Cycle

Challenge #4 "Guess the Topic" .. I hope you enjoy reading it

I wake up every day to see you there standing before me. I envy you because you wake up early when I struggle to let go of my blanket. I envy you because everyone has faith in you; they believe that you'll be there for them.

I see how your warmth hugs every creature physically and mentally.. I get jealous because I can see what your warmth do to them and me. Why can't I do the same thing to the ones that I love? I get jealous because your rays protect the world when I fail to protect myself. Why can't I spread that kind of light and make them feel secure like the way you do?

I hate you because you shine brightly.

I despise you because you make me squint while you're awake guiding people
I envy you because people use you as a sign when they're lost. 

I loathe you...

But when it's your time to fall asleep, I feel scared because your presence guards me from the demons and monsters that live inside me. I wish I never hated you and I wish you stayed there to protect me for the entire day, but my wishes go to waste when I see you hiding behind the horizon.. Then I give up to my treacherous thoughts to eat my mind. I stay there suffering and anticipating the next day to see you and feel alright for a while, then hate you all over again.
